Gibbons Windows began trading in 1987, having been founded by the now managing director Peter Gibbons, based on his wide experience gained in both the glass and glazing and double glazing industry.
After some nine years of solid trading it was decided to purchase the freehold of 561 Seaside Eastbourne, this proved very popular with our customers both old and new as they now had a local point of contact and an opportunity to view top quality windows, doors, fascia’s and conservatories.
Continuing success in marketing and installing our products has meant the company has gone from strength to strength, this has been based on the small local company attitude that quality, value and service will ensure that the majority of our customers are more than willing to recommend us to their friends, this has also ensured that costs associated with advertising have been kept to a minimum. In addition to our P.V.c.u installation we have for many years excelled in servicing and repairing all makes of double glazing not currently supported by the original installation company because they are out of guarantee or the company no longer exists, and to that end we hold probably the largest stocks on the south coast of service and repair parts that customers can purchase or have fitted by our own experienced staff.
We are one of the few companies in the industry that have traded longer than their 10-year guarantee and have successfully installed products to thousands of homes. One of the biggest problems with Window companies is that they come and they go, they promise you back-up and give you guarantees, but a few years on just when you may be needing an adjustment or repair – they’ve gone out of business! Sounds familiar? We are one of the very few window companies that have been in business more than twice as long as their ten-year insurance backed guarantee.
Proprietor Peter Gibbons has over 35 years experience in the window business, the last 28 years of which trading as Gibbons Windows.
